My fabric collaged art quilts are made up of many layers of small fabric pieces that have been placed onto a fabric base or background. I place tulle over the design to hold all the tiny pieces in place. After layering the base, batting, and backing fabric, I use my sewing machine to free motion stitch adding more texture and details. 

 

The finished art quilt is mounted or stretched onto artist's gallery wrap canvas and is wired ready to hang.  Pieces can be lightly dusted off with a dry or damp cloth. I do not recommend displaying them in direct sunlight as the fabrics and fibers may fade over time.
